Supply Chain Partnerships

One of the key things that differentiates Ceres Organic from other grain companies is that we believe in Supply Chain Partnerships SCPs. We work with producers (the farmer), processors (the mills) and end manufacturers (the brands you see on the shelf)—that’s the supply chain part. Instead of playing these parties against each other, (as many companies do), we work to create long term business relationships that benefit all parties.

The Supply Chain Partnership is where our Mission statement comes to life:  Ceres Organic Harvest is committed to building strategic alliances between producers and processors of certified organic, quality food products.

These strategic alliances create stability both for the farmer and manufacturer.  We facilitate these relationships and to ensure that all parties are getting a fair return for their efforts and a high quality product.  With over fifteen years in the organic food business, Ceres Organic has a long history of successful relationships at all levels of the supply chain.

The Organic Market is growing at nearly  20% each year and available organic acreage is not keeping pace.  We are in a new phase of agriculture where food crops are competing with feed, fuel and fiber crops for acreage.  Without supply chain partnerships, organic crop supply is not certain.   This new model of business has the potential to bring many benefits to the organic community.

  • A partner-based business model
  • Stability in crop pricing to the farmer
  • Stability in supply for the manufacturer
  • Long term relationships based on trust
  • Equitable profitability
