Our History

Ceres Organic Harvest, Inc. began in 1992 to serve the needs of organic manufacturers and organic growers. Company founder Britt Eustis saw a need for supplying sustainable grain-based ingredients to the manufacturers of organic foods. Ceres began early to develop long-term supply solutions with a focus on quality, efficiency and capacity. Over the years this objective has proven successful as Ceres has expanded its focus from the organic durum wheat-based ingredients to the various flours and derivatives of organic hard spring wheat, organic soft wheat, organic oats and various other organic  grains.

In 2004, Ceres began the operations of Organic Grain & Milling, a grain handling facility located in North Dakota. The OGM facility is equipped to process and store wheat, barley, oats and other grains grown in the upper midwest and Canada. OGM manages all grain procurement and sales activity along with the elevator operations.

In 2005, Ceres established a division focused on the marketing and sales of certified organic retail products. The division specializes in product development and brand management of organic retail products for the North American market.

Over the years Ceres Organic Harvest has become a leader in the supply of a number of organic grain-based commodities and ingredients. Ceres has earned the respect and admiration of growers, processors and manufacturers in the organic community. Ceres' resources – strong relationships with growers, ability to access cost-effective transportation and processing, and a network of manufacturing partners – are key factors that contribute to the success of the company.
